Accommodation Clause
Application Scope
Article 1: The accommodation agreement and any contract regarding the matter Forest Inn Showakan concludes with a registered guest shall be stipulated in this clause. Matters not stipulated in the clause shall be handled in compliance with laws or accepted customs.
2. When Forest Inn Showakan has accepted a special agreement without departing from laws and customs, the special agreement shall supersede notwithstanding the provision in the preceding paragraph.
Application for Accommodation Agreement
Article 2: You will need to offer information on the following matters for application.
(1) The name of the lodger
(2) The date of accommodation and scheduled time of arrival
(3) Accommodation charge (according to the basic accommodation charge as per the Appended Table 1)
(4) Other matters Forest Inn Showakan deems necessary
2. When a registered guest has offered to continue the accommodation beyond the date of accommodation in Item (2) of the preceding paragraph during the accommodation, Forest Inn Showakan will handle the offer as an application for a new accommodation agreement when the offer is made.
Achievement etc. of Accommodation Agreement
Article 3: The Accommodation Agreement shall be concluded when Forest Inn Showakan accepted the application in the preceding article. When Forest Inn Showakan has evidenced the non-acceptance, however, the Agreement will not be concluded.
2. When the Accommodation Agreement has been concluded pursuant to the provision in the preceding paragraph, you will pay the application fee determined by Forest Inn Showakan up to the basic accommodation fee for the accommodation period (3 days when the period lasts more than 3 days) by the date determined by Forest Inn Showakan.
3. The application fee will first be applied to the accommodation fee that should be paid off by the registered guest. In the event that a situation where provisions in Article 6 and Article 18 are applied has arisen, the application fee will be applied in the order of penalty charges and then compensation. The remainder, if any, will be refunded upon payment of the fee pursuant to the provision in Article 12.
4. In case the application fee stipulated in Paragraph 2 is not paid by the date determined by Forest Inn Showakan pursuant to the provision in the paragraph, the Accommodation Agreement shall cease to be effective; provided, however, that the foregoing provisions apply only when Forest Inn Showakan has advised the registered guest accordingly upon designation of the payment date of the application fee.
Special Agreement Exempting Payment of Application Fee
Article 4: Notwithstanding the provision in Paragraph 2 of the preceding arｔicle, Forest Inn Showakan may conclude the special agreement exempting payment of the application fee stipulated in the paragraph following the conclusion of the Accommodation Agreement.
2. In the event that Forest Inn Showakan did not request for the payment of the application fee stipulated in Paragraph 2 of the preceding article, nor did we designate the payment date of the application fee upon acceptance of the application for the Accommodation Agreement, the application will be handled as the accepted special agreement stipulated in the preceding article.
Refusal to Conclude Accommodation Agreement
Article 5: Forest Inn Showakan may not conclude the Accommodation Agreement in the following cases.
（1） When the application is not based on the Clause
（2） When there are no rooms available
（3） When we find it to be likely that the person attempting to apply for accommodation will perform an act against the provisions of laws and regulations, public order or morals concerning the accommodation
（4） When it is clearly found that the person attempting to apply for accommodation is a case of epidemic
（5） When the person who attempting to apply for accommodation demand Forest Inn Showakan bear the burden concerning the accommodation beyond the limit considered to be reasonable
（6） When Forest Inn Showakan is not able to accommodate due to a natural disaster, equipment failure, or other inevitable reasons
（7） When the person attempting to apply for accommodation is likely to cause a nuisance to other registered guests due to the fuddle etc. When the person's speech and action causes a serious nuisance to other registered guests (A Tokyo metropolitan government ordinance)
（8） Forest Inn Showakan requests that the following organizations or individuals, including organizations or individuals about whom the relevant fact has been disclosed during the stay, continue to refrain from using our accommodation in the future
① An organized crime group and a person who is an organized crime group member prescribed in the "Act to Prevent Unjust Acts by Organized Crime Group Members (ENTRY INTO FORCE: March 1st, 1992)."
② An organized anti-social group and a person who is an organized anti-social group member (an organized crime group, extremist group, and its member)
③ When violence, threats, blackmail, coercion and undue claims, and any other acts similar thereto have been observed
④ When the person who uses Forest Inn Showakan is a personage has difficulty to ensure his/her own safety such as the retarded, a loss of identity caused by chemicals etc., or who could cause danger, scary and anxiety feeling to other customers
Rights of Registered Guest to Terminate the Agreement
Article 6: The registered guest can request Forest Inn Showakan to terminate the Accommodation Agreement.
2. Should the registered guest has terminated the whole or part of the Accommodation Agreement for reasons attributable to the guest him/herself (in the event that Forest Inn Showakan requested the payment of the application fee with the designated payment date pursuant to the provision in Article 3, Paragraph 2, excluding the case that the registered guest has terminated the accommodation agreement prior to the payment), Forest Inn Showakan will ask for the penalty charge; provided that Forest Inn Showakan has advised the registered guest that the person would be obliged to pay the penalty charge upon acceptance of the special agreement, however, in the event that Forest Inn Showakan has accepted the special agreement stipulated in Article 4, Paragraph 1.
3. When the registered guest does not arrive even at 8:00 p.m. (when the time of arrival is explicitly designated, at the point that 2 hours have elapsed after the time) on the date of accommodation with no without notice, Forest Inn Showakan may handle the Accommodation Agreement as the one terminated by the registered guest.
Rights of Forest Inn Showakan to Terminate the Agreement
Article 7: Forest Inn Showakan may terminate the Accommodation Agreement in the following cases.
（1） When we find it to be likely that the registered guest will perform an act against the provisions of laws and regulations, public order or morals concerning the accommodation, or when it is found that the person has actually committed such an act
（2） When it is clearly found that the person attempting to apply for accommodation is a case of epidemic
（3） When the person who attempting to apply for accommodation demand Forest Inn Showakan bear the burden concerning the accommodation beyond the limit considered to be reasonable
（4） When Forest Inn Showakan is not able to accommodate for reasons attributable to force majeure such as a natural disaster, equipment failure, or other inevitable reasons
（5） When the person attempting to apply for accommodation is likely to cause a nuisance to other registered guests due to the fuddle etc. When the person's speech and action causes a serious nuisance to other registered guests (A Tokyo metropolitan government ordinance)
（6） When the registered guest does not observe the prohibition rules on the use of accommodation (limited, however, to accommodation necessary for the sake of fire prevention), designated by Forest Inn Showakan, such as smoking in bed, fire-prevention equipment vandalism, and other acts
2. When Forest Inn Showakan has terminated the Accommodation Agreement based on the provisions in the preceding paragraphs, we will not ask for the payment of fees for accommodation services etc. the registered guest has not been provided yet
Registration of Accommodation
Article 8: We ask the registered guest to register the following matters at the front desk of Forest Inn Showakan on the day of arrival.
（1） Name, age, gender, address, and profession of the registered guest
（2） When the registered guest is a foreigner, the nationality, passport number, and port and date of entry
（3） Date and scheduled time of departure
（4） Other matters deemed necessary by Forest Inn Showakan
2. When the registered guest attempts to pay the fee stipulated in Article 12 by means which could be an alternative to currency such as traveler's checks, accommodation coupon, credit card, etc., we ask the person to present it in advance upon registration stipulated in the preceding provisions.
Hours of Use for Accommodation Unit
Article 9: Hours of use in which the registered guest can use Forest Inn Showakan's accommodation unit shall be from 3:00 p.m. to noon on the following day. When the registered guest stays continuously, he/she can use the unit all day, excluding arrival and departure dates.
2. Notwithstanding the provisions in the preceding paragraph, Forest Inn Showakan may allow use of the unit outside the hours stipulated in the paragraph. In this case, Forest Inn Showakan will ask the guest to pay the following additional fees.
（1） One-third of the room charge up to 3 hours after the designated time
（2） Half of the room charge up to 6 hours after the designated time
（3）The whole amount of the room charge when the registered guest stays for over 6 hours after the designated time
Compliance with the Accommodation Rules
Article 10: The registered guest shall observe the accommodation rules determined by Forest Inn Showakan.
Hours Open
Article 11: Forest Inn Showakan's main facilities' opening hour shall be as follows (The information on specific operating hours for other facilities etc. is available with Service Directory etc., an intra-building guidance system).
Service hours at the front desk or cashier
① No curfew
② 24-hour front-desk service
③ 24-hour exchange service
2. Hours stipulated in the provisions of the preceding paragraphs are subject to change for necessary, inevitable reasons. In that case, registered guests will be notified of the change by appropriate means.
Payment of Fees
Article 12: Breakdown of fees owed by the registered guest shall be described in the Appended Table 1.
2. We ask the registered guest to pay accommodation fees etc. stipulated in the preceding paragraphs at the front desk upon departure of the registered guest or when Forest Inn Showakan charges in currency or by means which could be an alternative to currency such as traveler's checks, accommodation coupon, credit card, etc. as deemed appropriate by Forest Inn Showakan.
3. When Forest Inn Showakan provides the registered guest with an accommodation unit and the registered guest did not stay at the unit optionally after the unit has become available, we will still ask the registered guest to pay the accommodation fee.
Forest Inn Showakan's Liability
Article 13: Forest Inn Showakan will pay for the damage upon fulfillment of the Accommodation Agreement and contracts relevant to the Agreement, or when we have caused any damage to registered guest(s) due to non-performance of those contracts. The provision shall not apply when the damage is not due to reasons attributable to Forest Inn Showakan.
2. Forest Inn Showakan has a hotel insurance policy in case of fire etc., although we have received the mark of excellence from the fire department.
Handling When the Contractual Accommodation Unit Cannot Be Provided
Article 14: When Forest Inn Showakan is unable to provide the registered guest with the contractual accommodation unit, we shall find the registered guest the other accommodation facility in the same condition as much as possible, with the registered guest's consent.
2. When, notwithstanding the provisions in the preceding paragraph, Forest Inn Showakan is unable to find the other accommodation facility, we will pay compensation fees commensurate with the penalty charge to the registered guest and provide the compensation fees for damage compensation. When Forest Inn Showakan has no reasons attributable to us about not being able to provide the accommodation unit, however, we will not pay the compensation fees.
Handling of Deposited Goods
Article 15: When any loss or damage of the goods or cash and valuables deposited by a registered guest to our front desk has been caused, Forest Inn Showakan shall be liable to the damage, except in the case of force majeure.
2. When any loss or damage of the goods or cash and valuables that a registered guest brought into Forest Inn Showakan and did not deposit to our front desk has been caused by our intentional or negligent act, Forest Inn Showakan shall be liable to the damage. When the type or price of goods were not declared in advance by the registered guest, however, Forest Inn Showakan shall be liable to the damage up to 150,000 yen.
Storage of Registered Guest's Baggage and Personal Effects
Article 16: When a registered guest's baggage has arrived at Forest Inn Showakan prior to the person's accommodation, we will be responsible to store the baggage only when Forest Inn Showakan had given the approval prior to the arrival and deliver the baggage to the registered guest when the person checks in at the front desk.
2. When the registered guest's baggage or personal effects have been left behind in Forest Inn Showakan's rooms after the registered guest checked out and the owner has been confirmed, Forest Inn Showakan shall contact the owner for his/her instruction.
3. Forest Inn Showakan's liability pertaining to the storage of the registered guest's baggage or personal effects in the case relevant to the 2 preceding paragraphs shall be in accordance with Paragraph 1 of the preceding article for Paragraph 1, and Paragraph 2 of the same article for the preceding paragraph.
Parking Liability
Article 17: When a registered guest uses a Forest Inn Showakan's parking lot, we will rent a place in Forest Inn Showakan, and we will not be obliged to bear the responsibility for the management of the car, whether or not the car key is deposited. When Forest Inn Showakan has intentionally or negligently caused any damage in the management of the parking lot, however, we shall be liable to the damage.
Registered Guest's Liability
Article 18: In the event that Forest Inn Showakan has suffered damage due to a registered guest's intentional or negligent act, the registered guest shall pay for the damage to Forest Inn Showakan.

(Note)
1. % denotes the ratio of the penalty charge to the basic accommodation fee.
2. When the number of contractual days has been shortened, we will collect the penalty charge for one day (the first day), regardless of the number of days shortened.
3. When some of a large group of guests (15 or more) have terminated the Agreement, we will not collect the penalty charge for the number of people corresponding to 10% (a fraction will be rounded up) of the number of lodgers at the time 10 days before the accommodation (when we accepted the application after the day, as of the day we accepted).
Accommodation Rules
Forest Inn Showakan request our customers to observe the following accommodation rules we set based on Article 10 of the Accommodation Clause for our customers' safety and amenity.
When there is a customer who does not observe these rules, we may have no choice but to refuse the accommodation and use of our accommodation's facilities by the person, based on Article 7 of the Accommodation Clause. When an accident has occurred, it would be appreciated if you could take special note that we may ask the customer who caused the accident to pay for the damage.
■Use of Accommodation Unit
(1) The escape plan from the accommodation unit is displayed on the back of the entrance door of the accommodation unit.
(2) The person who is not registered for accommodation is not allowed.
(3) Please note that no legal right pertaining to housing will arise due to long-term use of our accommodation.
(4) Accommodation by non-adults only without parent's consent is not permitted. A lodger such as the retarded, or who lose control due to chemicals or intoxication etc. or could cause nuisance and anxiety to other customers are also not allowed.
■Room Key
(1) During the stay, please ensure that the door is locked when you go out of the room.
(2) Please deposit the key to the front desk when you go out of Forest Inn Showakan.
(3) Please present to the clerk your accommodation card when you receive the key at the front desk.
(4) Please present your room key or accommodation card when you use a restaurant or lounge in Forest Inn Showakan or put your signature on an accounting slip.
(5) Please make sure to leave the door on the "latch" when you stay in the room or at bedtime.
(6) Please make sure to return the room key to the front desk when you leave Forest Inn Showakan. We will ask you to pay the actual cost for the key when the key is not returned due to loss etc.
■Visitor
(1) Please meet your visitor in the lobby at night.
(2) When the door is knocked or door chime rings, please open with the door on the "latch" or confirm through a peephole.
■Accommodation Unit Interior
(1) Please do not use a fire and candle, etc. for heating or cooking, etc. without Forest Inn Showakan's permission inside the accommodation unit and hallway. Cooking inside the accommodation unit is strictly prohibited.
(2) Please refrain from smoking in a place with a potential danger of a fire accident, especially in bed.
(3) Please do not use the accommodation unit for a purpose other than accommodation such as doing business / office / party, without Forest Inn Showakan's permission.
(4) Please do not move fixture or do some carpentry in the accommodation unit or refurbish the unit, without Forest Inn Showakan's permission.
(5) Please do not bring out small objects or fixture in the accommodation unit out from the accommodation unit.
(6) Please do not put any objects that could impair the appearance of Forest Inn Showakan beside the window.
■Valuables
When you store cash, securities, precious metals, or other valuables during the stay, use a safety box set beside the front desk (free of charge). (Forest Inn Showakan is not responsible for loss/theft, etc. in the accommodation unit).
■Trust
The storage limitation for trust shall be as follows unless otherwise indicated (The trust which has elapsed the storage limitation will be disposed of considering that the depositor is unwilling to take it over)
(1) Trust for the customer who visited the front desk: 1 month
(2) Trust in the cloak room: 1 month
(3) Trust in the baggage room: 3 months
■Lost Belonging
The storage limitation for lost belonging shall be 7 days including the date of the discovery. Please note that the lost belonging will be turned in to our neighborhood police department after 7 days.
■Use of Parking Lots
（1）We request our customers to follow our clerk's direction and guidance in the premise of Forest Inn Showakan.
（2）Please do not leave valuables or other goods in your car parked in a parking lot. Forest Inn Showakan is not responsible for loss/theft, etc. in a parked car.
（3）Please note that Forest Inn Showakan's clerk will not move your car for you.
（4）Please also observe other instructions in Forest Inn Showakan's "Use of Parking Lots.
■Accounting
（1）Usage charges shall be paid by cash, vouchers, traveler's checks, accommodation coupons, credit card, etc., or other means which could be an alternative to such means as deemed appropriate by Forest Inn Showakan.
（2）Please note in advance that we may ask for payment of the deposit upon arrival.
（3）Please complete your payment each time we may request the settlement of charges during the stay. When Forest Inn Showakan charges and receives no payment, we may ask you to vacate the room.
（4）When we are to receive payment from someone other than the lodger and receives no payment by the designated payment date, we will charge the payment directly to the lodger him/herself.
（5）Please note that we do not pay on behalf of you for your shopping inside and outside Forest Inn Showakan.
（6）Please note that facility charges will be added, if you use the phone (including international call) and fax in the accommodation unit.
Please refrain from bringing into Forest Inn Showakan the following objects that cause nuisance to other customers or the following acts.
（1）Dog(s)/cat(s)/bird(s) or other pet animal(s)
（2）Combustible or inflammable substances
（3）Evil-smelling/poisonous substances
（4）Other substances for which possession is prohibited by law
（5）Gambling / coercive speech and action / acts injurious to public morals, or speech and action causing disgust or nuisance to other customers
（6）Going out of the accommodation unit with nightwear (yukata, a light cotton kimono for summer) / slippers
（7）Moving fixture in the accommodation unit or using such fixture for any purpose other than the purpose of use
（8）Distribution of advertising material, sale of goods, solicitation, etc.
